Escape
Leisure Slimaton
The photo below shows a group of members and friends of
Escape Leisure that participated in the Escape Leisure
Slimaton which raised 15,000 Euro for Down Syndrome Children
and Pre mature babies unit in Galway. The group lost approximately
16 stone.
Congrats to all and a big thanks to all that contributed
to the cause . |

Escape
leisure swimmer wins silver medal at national finals
Congratulations to Escape leisure swimmer, Ciarán
Burke, who won a silver medal at the Community Games National
Finals at the National Aquatic Centre in Dublin last weekend.
Seven year old Ciarán, won gold at the Tuam Community
Games under eight freestyle 25 metres and followed this
with a fine win to win the county title at the Galway
Community Games Finals held in Leisureland. At the national
finals, Ciarán competed against the county winners
from each county in Ireland and swam excellently in the
heats and semi-final to qualify for the final where he
swam a personal best of 18.7 seconds over 25 metres to
win the silver medal. Ciarán is a member of the
excellent Escape Leisure Centre where he was taught to
swim by Arancha and was excellently trained by Arancha
and Alan leading up to the finals. |
